Regina films in the Czech Republic
The Promance crew chose to film for two days in an amazing, story-like location in the Czech Republic: a castle in the town of Hluboka nad Vltavou. The royal castle founded in the 13th century was rebuilt in 1800s in a Romantic Neo-Gothic style and is surrounded by an impressive 2 square kilometers English garden. This is the place that sets off detective Milan in his search of the truth regarding Regina’s past (Diana Dumitrescu), in scenes filmed under the direction of Alex Fotea.
Detective Milan is played by Professor Mircea Gheorghiu, chairman of the jury panel in the contest show În al 9-lea cer, a character well known for his toughness, nicknamed “the black widow” by the participants. “I am glad to join the team from Regina, an artistic product with real success. I’m eager to start filming. My character, detective Milan, is hired to find the answer to an unsolved old case. Learning about the existence of a royal medallion that could take him to a long sought answer, he is determined to leave for the castle in order to find more details”, discloses Mircea.
This is the second time when the Promance crew has filmed abroad for Regina as the series made its debut with scenes shot in Tunis. Promance International has had the first Romanian team filming on famous sets in Sahara where legendary epic movies such as Star Wars and The English Patient were shot.
Surprising and exciting moments are prepared once again for the viewers on impressive story-like sets from the Czech castle where Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson filmed for the movie Shanghai Nights.
