Regina was present at the World Summit of Telenovela & Fiction in Argentina
The Sixth World Summit of Telenovela & Fiction Industry held in November 2008 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, gathered the most important producers, writers, buyers and sales representatives from all over the world.
Regina has once again lived up to its name and managed to retain the participants’ attention through strikingly vivid images, complex storylines and amazing rhythms from the opening theme. The Romanian production raised the appetite for more Romanian products as it was not the only production that generated interest among the telenovela community present in Buenos Aires. Series such as Little Angels, Mothers and Doctors, Only Love and Tears of Love proved to be a real interest to the audience. All the products were presented by Ruxandra Ion, Managing Director of Promance, and Ines Nastasoiu, Acquisitions Manager of ACASA TV and PRO TV.
Valentin Pimstein, the world’s most famous and most important telenovela producer, creator of memorable Latin TV productions such as Maria la del Barrio, Marimar or Los Ricos también lloran (Televisa), was extremely impressed by the latest Promance International series. The distinguished producer expressed his desire to learn detailed information about Regina’s cast and filming sets.
Another famous personality present at the Summit was Enrique Torres, the author of the international success Muñeca Brava. Torres, who had recently visited Romania and the MediaPro Studios in Buftea, shared with other participants the admiration and appreciation towards our productions.
Producers from Australia, Philippines, Argentina and USA were highly enchanted by all Promance International productions showcased at the World Summit of Telenovela and Fiction Industry. Participants consensually agreed that the Eastern Europe telenovela market is a constant developer of the genre and has a lot in store for the regional audience. They acknowledged the spectacular progress that Romania made in the telenovela field which grew at an astonishing rate in just four years, leading the Romanian telenovela on the route of quality Latin American romantic fiction series.
