| Synopsis: |
A Movie-like Romance tells the
story of Ioana, a 23-year-old with a hefty share of
responsibilities.
Her adult life began too early, with her parents' death, when she
had to make some difficult decisions in order to offer her younger
sister Raluca the life she deserves. In order to do that, Ioana
gets a job in a night club as a bar dancer, hiding from everyone
the source of her earnings and leading them to believe she is a
prestigious psychologist.
Ioana makes these sacrifices so that Raluca can get the best
education possible at a highly exclusive and renowned girls'
boarding school. This will not, however, protect Raluca from first
love's torment, when she falls in love with Dragos (Adrian
Nicolae), a Political Sciences student who will also become the
love interest of her best friend, Dana (Sabina Branduse).
Ioana gets her own share of love as well, when she encounters
Stefan (Dan Bordeianu), the son of a wealthy family, and a
movie-like romance sparkles between the two. As he thinks she is a
psychologist, Stefan asks her for help in freeing himself from his
mother's influence, Elena Varga. Elena is a very strong and
persuasive woman that tries to control every aspect in the lives of
Stefan and his sister, Dana.
Elvira has also great plans for her son: she arranged a marriage to
Adina (Stefana Samira), who will do anything to get her rival Ioana
out of her way. To do that, she will be aided by her parents,
Constanta and Claudiu, who have their own agenda regarding the
marriage and neglect their daughter's happiness.
There is only one flaw in the relationship of the two lovers: Ioana
is afraid that Stefan will leave her if he learns the truth about
her job, and although she tries to set things straight she doesn't
seem to find the right moment to do it. As he will eventually
discover the truth, Stefan will be bitterly disappointed with the
woman he loves, partly to his past memories of his father
abandoning his home and cheating on his mother with bar
dancers.
Zuzu (Carmen Tanase) is the owner of the Princess bar, where Ioana
dances along with her friends Daiana (Diana Dumitrescu), Ileana
(Nicoleta Luciu), Isabel (Adriana Nicolae) and Stephanie (Steliana
Balacianu). Zuzu is very protective of her "Princesses", trying to
comfort her through rough times. She is not the only one though, as
there is also the eccentric millionaire Bobby Parai (Cabral Ibacka)
who is in love with Ioana and tries to heal her broken heart. When
he is confronted with the truth that her heart belongs to Stefan,
he will support her as a friend all the way.
Will Stefan make amends with Ioana's choices and let love overcome
all? Do movie-like romances really exist?
