Dan Nichita (Adrian Stefan) is a
young up-and-coming rock musician with an appetite for success and
love.
He lives his life without a care in the world knowing he has the
backing of his powerful casino-owning father, Alexandru Nechita.
Although he loves and supports his son, he can't wish enough that
Dan would take life a little more serious.
But where the father fails, love might prevail. Dan falls in love
with Daria (Victoria Raileanu), a young orphan just out of school
and with dreams of becoming a ballerina. Daria found shelter in the
school's library through the care of a compassionate soul, Gicu
Timofte, the high school's aging librarian. Gicu also protects and
defends the girl from the meanness of Olivia Muscalu, a very bitter
and resentful librarian.
Meeting Dan has not been all roses for Daria. Dan's official
girlfriend, Silvia Damian (Andreea Bibiri), an aspiring fashion
designer who seeks financial support and connections to launch her
career sees Dan as the perfect trampoline for her plans.
Things get even more complicated when Alexandru Nechita discovers
he is suffering from cancer and would like his son to inherit the
family business. Dan becomes involved in a web of intrigues plotted
especially by his step-brother, Andi (Alexandru Papadopol).
Apparently good-natured, helpful and sympathetic, Andi is tormented
with envy of his step-brother's fate, as he is only an adopted
child, and waits for the moment to get his chance at the
inheritance.
Alice (Elvira Deatcu), Alexandru's lover, has her own say in the
matter, as she is trying to have his child who would assure her a
share of the fortune. All this while Nicky Novac (Constantin
Cotimanis), club owner and loan shark, carries a personal vendetta
against the Nichita family.
Who will take the power? Will Dan manage to face his adversaries
and protect his recently discovered love from harm? Or will the old
temptations of easy life turn him into a mere puppet in the hands
of others?
