| Synopsis: |
Tears of love is a different act.
After the classic story of "Only Love", comes a more elaborated
production rich in emotions, with more characters and secrets
hidden under the appearances of power.
The Varlams are among the richest families in Romania. Grigore
Varlam (Constantin Cotimanis), the head of the family, is a
business man who has created an empire. He is married to Simona,
his second wife, a woman who has realized her ambition of leading a
comfortable life in a luxurious house. Mihai (Lucian Viziru),
Simona's son from a previous marriage, is a shy young man with
solid principles who has just returned home after studying abroad.
His gentle nature will not help him stand against his parents
especially in matters of the heart, as they are determined to have
him married to Sonia (Nicoleta Luciu), a girl whose family has
connections.
The Varlam family's problems are just about to begin, as Nicole
(Mihaela Barlutiun), Grigore Varlam's daughter and Mihai's
step-sister, is a beautiful but spoiled girl, accustomed to have
her own way no matter what.
One day, Varlam acquires a property and to ease the process of
eviction for the remaining family, he offers Elena Savu (Rodica
Negrea) a job in his house as cook. The woman moves in with her
children, Maia (Nicole Gheorghiu), a 12th grade student, and Ionut
(Alexandru Barba), a second grade student.
Another main character is the strong-willed Andrei Popa (Dan
Bordeianu), a theatre student who adores his mother, Angela (Cezara
Dafinescu) and with whom he still lives. They are getting by, even
though Anghel (Gheorghe Visu), Andrei's father, has abandoned them.
Andrei shows interest in Nicole, but Grigore dismisses him as a
suitable candidate for his daughter.
Alexandra (Adela Popescu), a student, lives in Cluj because of
Amalia (Elvira Deatcu), his father's new wife, who has managed to
take over the family business.
This is only the beginning of a complex story, in which passions
and interests collide.
Will love prevail? Will it help the heroes overcome adversities?
Will justice, truth and honor be stronger than appearances?
Each of them will get the answer after enduring life experiences.
Only the strong can get the best of it and love will make them
stronger…but perhaps not always.
